Worst Book Ever….

I usually don't write negative reviews…but this book was so bad, I had to share my thoughts. This book is a horrible waste of time and money. First of all, I wouldn't even call it a book. It's more like a pamphlet! The author has no background or experience with nutrition and medicine. It's just some guy who decided to write a few thoughts. The book is SO vague and confusing! He says certain foods count as two bites and he keeps saying to have a drink on him. Everything in moderation - is what he keeps saying over and over. Everybody knows you should eat in moderation, you don't need to pay for a book to tell you that! There is barely any structure to his "plan". My favorite was when he tells men to drop weight so that their wives will follow their leads and that way they'll get a new "trophy wife". He says it's cheaper than finding a new wife. What a jerk. If you want a book about counting bites from a REAL doctor….goggle Why Weight Around? By Dr. Alwin Lewis. I lost 40lbs on his plan and he explains how the body actually works and metabolizes sugars from a medical perspective. He also debunks a lot of dieting myths. This 25 bites book is not even fit for the trash can.

This book has to be a joke!

Wow. Misspellings, fragmented sentences, run-on sentences, and lack of content are just a few of the problems with this book. I am a fan of counting your bites in order to reduce caloric intake and lose weight but this book contributes absolutely nothing to the bite counting approach. The author does not back up anything he says with fact or data. It is just all speculation and his opinion. It is pretty much a really bad blog post made into a tiny, 52 page book. This is an ACTUAL excerpt from the book: "If you want that special person to lose a few pounds, why don't you start with the 25 bite diet. You explain that you need to lose those love handles and you start the 25 bite diet. Lead by example, she will follow. Once she sees you dropping those love handles without having to change her cooking habits she will begin to follow your approach. And Voila! You have yourself a Trophy Wife." I still can't believe those words even after I have read them and written them. What in the world?!?! The one thing this book is not lacking is ignorant context. Only buy this if you want a good laugh.

I like the concept of counting bites to lose weight, IT WORKS. I thought the book was Ok, but always glad to see others counting bites to lose weight! Its a legitmite way of losing weight! I started at 80 bites a day and gradually worked down to somewhere around 20 bites a day.
