A fun ride!
By Andrea W. Smith
This was a fun story! It's an LDS book and normally I prefer secular books because I find the LDS aspect either contrived or preachy but this novel was different. The LDS faith was woven through the story naturally. Instead of getting in the way of the plot, it became an integral part of the plot. It had strong and believable characters and wasn't predictable. I knew how it would end (it's a romance after all) but the path to get there had plenty of twists and turns. I didn't know what was going to happen and I really liked that! I stayed up until 2 a.m. to finish and that doesn't happen very often. Two thumbs up!

Modern Day Fairy Tale
By Cindy
Even though I don't like 'The Bachelor' (only watched the 1st season and that was enough), I was intrigued by the book description and decided to give it a chance. I'm really glad I did! It is expertly written and the characters are well developed, not only the main but also some of the secondary. It is religious in content but not obnoxiously so- for Lucy, it's a part of her that couldn't go unmentioned; for Ethan, it's part of his personal growth. There are lots of sweet moments between Lucy and Ethan that will make you cheer them on, and some very frustrating moments that will have you curse the unscrupulous characters. One of my favorite parts was when Lucy talked about the pioneer reenactment trek- very poignant. I also loved the idea of the charm bracelets, so cute! I don't want to give away any spoilers but it's a tale of staying true to yourself and standing up for honesty. I couldn't put it down and read it in one night! Can't wait to read more from this author!

Great to read at the beach or pool!
By Lisa F- Bookworm Lisa
This book for me was a pleasure read. Sometimes I love to just escape into the story and enjoy the characters. This is a great book to take with you to the beach or pool and relax in the sun with.
Lucy has just graduated from college and is looking forward to starting her career. She borrows one of her friends computers to send a few resume's out and do online searches. She tells her friends that if they find anything interesting, to send in a copy of her resume.
Her friends found something interesting. A new reality tv show, similar to "The Bachelor" is on the horizon. They are searching for eligible young women to be cast in "Soulmates". What good friend could possibly resist sending in a friends application for her?
Needless to say, Lucy is picked for the show. This is a dilemma for her, because she is LDS and the format of the show may not stay within her standards. She decides to pray and feels like this is an opportunity that she should pursue. So she packs her backs and heads out for an adventure to California.
There are many situations that are quirky and typical of this kind of a book. Nevertheless, I found it to be a fun and quick read.
I received a copy of this book to review from the author. The opinions are my honest opinions and not biased because of the source of the book.
